Could be quite useful for my needs but unfortunately the examples with windows GUI don\'t compile using the Watcom C compiler (most recent version). Specifically for the example view.c there were a number of undefined references, most of which can be found in other source files but two were left over, _CHK and wstart that don\'t seem to be in any of the samples. One other point the reference manual has no examples which means having to search through the source files to find where they are used.
I needed a tool to view socket activity on localhost, and SocketSniff told me what I needed to know within 10 seconds of running it. Thumbs up from me.
This tiny program is quite useful, especially for looking at localhost network traffic (which can not easily be done with Wireshark on Windows).
great, I have used it for debugging internal Nettraffic (127.0.0.1)Best RegardsKPM
I tried to use the tool to troubleshoot the issue with SOAP server working through loopback (127.0.0.1). It can provide high level information for data transfered between two applications but it is not enough if it is necessary to dig deeper. E.g. to understood why the corresponding socket is closed and which attributes were set for the connection.
I\'ve used SocketSniff to investigate authrization problem in my asp.net application.Very useful is sniffing Localhost (that is not supproted in ms network monitor). But grouping messages in conversations (request, response ...) appears not to be very helpful, because I need to restore authentication dialog. That is also will be helpful spliting messages into Header-Body for HTTP.Despite some inconveniences SocketSniff is rather good tool.
Great tool. Really useful and easy in use.
